There is just one day remaining to submit applications to participate in the Open International Competition for the development of a master plan for the scientific and technological districts of the Sirius federal territory. The official competition website siriusmasterplan.com shows the deadline: May 30. Immediately afterwards, the jury will begin its work on selecting those who will advance to the second stage of the competition.
At the end of June, those who have submitted the most compelling portfolios, essays on the development of Sirius, and visuals that reveal key insights will be announced as finalists. Until October 17, they will have to prepare master plans – documents that will define development scenarios of two high-tech areas of the federal territory for the next 10 years.
The competition is being held to select the best proposals from participants all over the world. The purpose of the competition corresponds to the tasks Sirius faces – using the Olympic legacy for the development of gifted young people from different countries, finding answers to the main challenges of our time, and developing and implementing the latest technologies.
The results of the competition will be summarized in November, after which the winner will be able to participate in the implementation of their proposals jointly with the federal territory. The main projects of the master plan should be a medical cluster specializing in the fight against cancer, the second phase of the campus for Sirius University, and a high-tech district with research infrastructure and production facilities.
